CHRIS GRIFFIS MEMORIAL TEST OPPORTUNITIES FOR MILLER VINATIERI MOTORSPORTS

With the 2019 Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship season coming to a close in just a few short weeks, Miller Vinatieri Motorsports is now accepting drivers for the annual Chris Griffis Memorial Test. The two-day test will take place at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on October 19-20 with many of the drivers participating in the test joining the series in 2020.

“For the 2020 race season, we are looking to expand our program,” stated MVM co-owner Jack Miller. “We are hoping to field two USF2000 entries as well as an Indy Pro 2000 entry, and the Chris Griffis Memorial Test is a great opportunity for drivers to work with the team and get extra track time before heading into the winter test season. Additionally, we have a partially funded program for a qualified driver.”

The test will take place on the 14-turn road course alongside all three rungs in the Road to Indy program and will consist of six, 45-minute test sessions per series. With three seats available, Miller Vinatieri Motorsports is looking for drivers interested in competing in USF2000 or Indy Pro 2000 for the 2020 season. The test provides drivers with an opportunity to gain valuable track time as they work their way up the racing ladder.

Located just north of Indianapolis, Miller Vinatieri Motorsports is able to provide an affordable testing opportunity to interested drivers. Reducing costs associated with travel, the team will be able to focus entirely on the drivers and cars in order to provide a beneficial and cost-efficient testing opportunity.

For Miller Vinatieri Motorsports, 2019 was used as a transitional year into the Road to Indy. Taking every opportunity to adjust to the series and learn the tracks and cars, the team is now looking to improve upon their season and is ready to attack in 2020.

“We are a new team in USF2000 this season,” continued Miller.  “Each and every event has been completely new to us, and we have been learning as we go. Heading into next season we will be primed and ready to pick up where we left off and improve upon what we have accomplished so far.”
