Jack William Miller Primed and Ready for Round Two of INDY NXT by Firestone

This weekend, INDY NXT by Firestone travels to Alabama for round two of the INDY NXT by Firestone championship at Barber Motorsports Park. Miller Vinatieri Motorsports (MVM) and their driver, Jack William Miller, are hoping to fight at the front of the field after showing speed in the opening race of the season on the Streets of St. Petersburg.

Last time out, Miller showed a strong pace in his #40 Abel Motorsports with MVM machine. Qualifying sixth, he ran in the top-five for most of the race before contact late in the race ended his day early.

“We didn’t have the outcome we wanted in St. Petersburg, which was frustrating because we had been running well all weekend right up until the closing laps of the race,” Miller expressed. “Still, it was great to show speed in the first round of the season, and I know we’ll be able to build on that speed as the season goes on, starting this weekend in Barber.”

Heading into the Grand Prix of Alabama after a two-month-long break, Miller is confident the team has what it takes to achieve a strong result.

“I’m excited and ready to get back on track and race,” Miller added. “The whole team has been working hard since St. Pete, and I think we can be in a position this weekend to fight at the front and hopefully grab a podium or a win. We had a good test at the Nashville Superspeedway and again at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, so I hope we can build from that and provide the team the results they deserve.”

Miller and the rest of the INDY NXT field will first take to the 2.3-mile road course of Barber Motorsports Park Friday for practice one. Practice two will take place Saturday morning, with qualifying scheduled for Saturday afternoon. The race is set to start at 11:30am EDT Sunday.
