Jack William Miller Scores Career-Best Qualifying and Top-Ten Finish at Road America

Jack William Miller delivered a strong performance at Road America this weekend, securing his best-ever qualifying effort in INDY NXT by Firestone competition and following it up with a top-ten result. Racing out of the Abel Motorsports with Miller Vinatieri Motorsports stable, Miller qualified an impressive fifth and finished seventh in a hot and demanding 20-lap race at the historic 4.048-mile circuit.

“I’m really proud of our qualifying run this weekend,” explained Miller. “That is where we have struggled slightly this season and to start fifth and be up there racing with some of the top drivers in the series shows the progress we’ve made. The car felt great, and it was a big confidence boost to be right in the mix with the front-runners.”

Race day brought high temperatures and humid conditions with the heat index soaring over 100F, adding another layer of difficulty to the already intense on-track action. Tire management and consistency proved crucial, especially in the closing stages of the race.

“It was definitely one of the hottest and most physically demanding races I’ve had,” Miller added. “The humidity made it tough in the car, and tire deg became a real challenge by mid-race. We had to be smart and manage the tires while still keeping the pace. Overall, I’m happy we brought it home in the top-ten, and I will now shift my focus to our test this week and Mid-Ohio in less than two weeks.”

Up next for Miller and the team is a test session at the Milwaukee Mile on Tuesday before returning to wheel-to-wheel action at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course over the Fourth of July weekend.
