Miller Vinatieri Motorsports Set for Downtown Detroit Battle in INDY NXT Street Race

Miller Vinatieri Motorsports is headed to the streets of Downtown Detroit this weekend for Round 5 of the 2025 INDY NXT by Firestone season. This marks the team’s second street circuit event of the year, following the season opener in St. Petersburg where Jack William Miller ran in the top-five on the daunting concrete-lined circuit.

After a solid performance at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Miller returns to the #40 entry with momentum. Miller claimed ninth place on the IMS road course, nearly matching his season-best result of eighth at Barber Motorsports Park, while also earning the Jostens Biggest Mover Award after charging through the field.

“Detroit is always a wild ride—tight corners and unforgiving walls,” explained Miller. “We’ve had solid pace at the last couple of events and showed we can move up in the pack. Now it’s about putting together a clean weekend and pushing for our best finish yet.”

The Detroit Grand Prix will be the fourth track of the season and the fifth race overall, and presents another opportunity for Miller and the team to keep building momentum as the season progresses. The downtown Detroit layout is narrow and bumpy, and it will test the skill and discipline of the entire INDY NXT field.

The weekend kicks off with Practice 1 on Friday, airing live on FS2, followed by Practice 2 and Qualifying on Saturday, both broadcast on FS1. The 45-lap feature race will go green at 10:30 AM ET on Sunday, live on FS1. Fans can follow Miller Vinatieri Motorsports all weekend long on their social media channels and at INDYNXT.com for updates, results, and exclusive behind-the-scenes content.
