Miller Vinatieri Motorsports Shows Strength in Detroit and Shifts Focus to Road America

It was a street fight in Detroit last weekend as Miller Vinatieri Motorsports and Jack William Miller took on the concrete jungle of Detroit. Battling the tight and barrier-lined circuit, Miller earned his best qualifying result of the season and will now take that experience into the picturesque Road America this weekend.

Taking the two practice sessions to acclimatize himself to a track that he had never been to before, Miller was able to keep his #40 HavenGo by SAAM and Patterson Dental-branded machine off the walls gaining some valuable track time. Pushing toward qualifying, where the field was split into two groups, Miller clocked the fourth fastest time in group one, setting him up for an outside row four starting spot in the eight position. Battling in the top-ten for much of the race, Miller eventually finished 15th.

“Detroit was a new track for me, and the experience was a good one,” explained Miller. “Now, we are heading to one of my most favorite tracks on the calendar, and one that I am familiar with, and looking for my best result of the season.”

In a busy month of June that will see three event weekends and two series tests, Miller will enter the second event, making the trek from Michigan to Wisconsin. Now set to take on the over four-mile Road America facility, Miller has his sights set high entering the seventh round of the season.

Miller continued, “Road America is an event that I had circled on my calendar and one that I want to make sure I have a good result at. I think we are consistently getting better and finding the speed we need, and aiming to showcase that this weekend.”

Miller and the rest of the INDY NXT by Firestone competitors will hit the track on Friday for the first of two practice sessions with practice two on Saturday morning. Qualifying will take place on Saturday afternoon with round seven of 2024 taking place on Sunday.
